"It seems that "Goodbye Cruel World" is OUT COLD's farewell album. The band, formed in 1989 in Dracut, Massachusetts, will be calling it quits after six albums and countless singles, according to Kangaroo Records.

It's a shame, as OUT COLD, like few other hardcore bands these days, represent an authentic old-school sound reminiscent of the early eighties, particularly from Boston – which, incidentally, is only about thirty miles from Dracut.

Whatever their reasons for calling it quits, they're certainly not musically burned out. "Goodbye Cruel World" is another great and rousing record, delivering 14 short, uncompromising hits in just under twenty minutes.
