Eh! – La Fase Del Sueño Intratable lp

A luxury. The breadth of expressive registers handled by this ensemble, the exquisite interpretations, the warmth of the recording, the richness in terms of textures and the creation of atmospheres The second installment of Eh!, the project captained with the hand of a saint by Elías Egido, confirms the expectations that his first album raised among the most select public, 36 de 48 (BCore, 2009). The former bassist for Standstill and E-150 has managed in these two years to organize a heavyweight band made up of musicians from different parts of the Spanish independent and alternative scene: Txus Villalabeitia on guitars (ex Same Old) and Dani Arrizabalaga on drums (ex Same Old and currently in The Bröntes), Naiel Ibarrola on keyboards (Le Traste), Ramon Marc Bataller on sax (élena, Delafé & Las Flores Azules), Rubén Martínez on guitars (ex Standstill, Tokyo Sex Destruction and Ainara LeGardon), Manuel Moreno (Autum Comets, Litoral) on electric viola and Pablo Moreno (Tsunami Attention) on cello. The Intractable Sleep Phase is, in short, the creative union of all of them. The songs of this second work of Eh! They are, in many cases, authentic exercises in collective composition and general improvisation masterfully captured by producer Raúl Pérez, who was in charge of the recording and mixing at La Mina, his studio in Seville, in the summer of 2010.

For more INRI, in addition to the eight Eh!, La Fase del Sueño Intratable has had the collaboration of artists from the Madrid and Seville scene such as Agus Alonso from Matiné, Pablo Peña from Pony Bravo and Antonio Pérez Toto from Hand of Fátima , who contribute their grain of sand to this ambitious and highly personal project by Elías Egido.

The result of this collaborative project sounds with an expressive power unprecedented in our country: a torrent of ideas and instrumental motifs unfold before our ears and each of the environments that recreate the ten songs on the album are executed with true mastery by the components of the band and collaborators. The soundtrack of these ten dreams gradually takes shape, revealing a compositional and interpretive maturity that is not within everyone's reach. It is clear that these artists have come a long way and it is their experience that positively marks the discourse of Eh!
