The Last Three Lines – These Are "Visions From Oniria" CD
Discovered in 2006 by a New Yorker who founded a record label (SinLovers, 2006-2008) and later championed by Aloud Music for the release of their "Crows EP," the story of The Last 3 Lines is that of a talented band with just the right amount of luck that all great bands need.
After playing numerous festivals (BAM, Polifonik, Donostikluba, FIVECC…), the release of "Crows," and especially their "Fish Tank" video—which won countless awards and was broadcast on many European channels—TL3L got the opportunity they had been waiting for: opening for Placebo on their 2010 tour. Their performances with Placebo, particularly in Barcelona (in front of 5,000 people), were their best yet, giving them the confidence they needed to tackle "Visions from Oniria."
To create it, they locked themselves away for over a year in their recording studio (which they also use as a rehearsal space) to compose the album that would solidify their status as a serious band. And solidify it they did…
From the opening chords of “Introlude” to the acoustic farewell of “Revelation,” TL3L's new album unfolds amidst psychedelia, 70s rock, and powerful, danceable modern rhythms, but above all, it captivates with the quality of its songs—impeccable compositions, meticulously crafted and flawlessly produced.
Catchy choruses like “Andromeda” and “Lonely Parade,” undeniable hits like “Your Bruising Charm,” “Visions from Oniria,” and “Black Sea,” along with folk-tinged experiments like “Sleepwalker,” form a tapestry of songs that leaves you with a smile and the urge to press play again.
While we expected a good album, “Visions from Oniria” has exceeded our expectations. With this work, The Last 3 Lines position themselves at the forefront of a Spanish indie-rock scene lacking in original voices, without sacrificing catchy melodies or danceable tracks. It's a project that we at Aloud Music are proud to support, hoping that the band will finally receive the recognition they deserve.
Long live The Last 3 Lines.
