"Punk coming from overseas only seemed to get heard in the UK if sung in English, leaving whole radical enclaves thrashing out their intense missives to fervent home followings. In 1985, Spain’s Eskorbuto trio released their debut album, composed of
recordings made between 1980-84, becoming the Latin countries’ own Never Mind The
Bollocks. Hailing from Santurtzi in Basque country, they sported the requisite riffs and moves, amped up with their own brand of guttural haranguing and venomous passion further stoked by incidents such as being locked up by police under terrorism laws on the strength of their demo.
