Pony Bravo – De Palmas Y Cacería CD
Pony Bravo is a rock group formed by Daniel Alonso, Pablo Peña, Darío del Moral and Javier Rivera. The group was formed in 2006 in Seville, and to date they have released three Lps: Si bajo de espalda no me da miedo (El Rancho 2008), Un Gramo de Fe (El Rancho 2010) and the new De Palmas y Cacería (El Ranch 2013). All his works are produced by Raúl Pérez in La Mina (Seville) and are published under Creative Commons licences.
In De Palmas and Cacería (El Rancho, 2013) 9 new songs come to light, among which are El Político Neoliberal, whose funny video clip served as a preview of the album. He is accompanied by Mi DNI, Cheney, Eurovegas, La Guajira de Hawaii (a two-way tribute to the great Pepe Marchena). They even dare to electrify some Moorish tientos from Beni de Cádiz in the Zambra de Guantánamo.
As in previous works, humor and satire are a constant in the collective imagination of Pony Bravo, both musically and visually, supported by new photomontages and posters by Daniel Alonso, the group's lyricist and voice. This new album has the participation of collaborators who have been regulars of the group: Celia Macías (photography), Manuel León (who has made the album cover and has also participated in the arrangements of the Guajira de Hawaii); and producer Raúl Pérez, responsible for the group's sound from his studio La Mina (Seville). In this new work, the singer Niño de Elche is incorporated, contributing the Spanish guitars and choirs that appear in Turista ven a Sevilla, the song that opens De Palmas and Cacería.
