"I love this cover so much

Coming three years after 1998's experimental "End Hits", "Furniture" serves as a more straightforward collection of cuts that, even with their relative simplicity, still pack quite the punch. The title track here has a really solid main riff and the groove throughout the entire song is amazing. I really like the writing as well, which, on one hand, tackles the issue of people acting like they understand what the band are saying and stand for when, in reality, they don't, and on the other, feeling worthless, burnt-out and unimportant; just like any piece of furniture. Then, "Number 5" is a super energetic and fun instrumental, with pulsating rhythms and some pretty fantastic guitar work. Now, despite the song working really well on its own and managing to never truly lose me, I do feel like a set of sharply-delivered vocals would've tied it together nicely. Finally, "Hello Morning" has this buzzing, electrifying instrumental, full of memorable, fiery riffs, over which Picciotto's shouted-verse eventually turns into a breakdown of moaning and groaning. It's quite off-putting at first, but once I got used to it, I really loved what it adds to the track.

I don't know what else to say other than that this EP is just great. Unlike "3 Songs", which had a slightly awkward middle-part that brought its quality down a decent bit, nothing on "Furniture" feels out of place. Simply an amazing little project." - Mike Drop / Album Of The Year
