One Last Wish – 1986 LP
"I had to do a double take here to make sure I wasn't listening to a Fugazi project, sadly it is not but Guy Picciotto's presence here gets it pretty damn close. While the instrumentals and vocals are cool, this project seems to be missing the more developed sound each and every Fugazi track had. This album seems like it would run for a standard 35-43 minutes but actually clocks in at just about 26 minutes which means not every track really gets the space it needs to fully flesh itself out. Some songs absolutely blow by and other songs make quite the lasting impression on myself. Overall this is a pretty mixed bag and I can totally get why someone wouldn't like this, but I am a sucker for Guy Picciotto's shrill vocals over some kick ass beats. Yet another underrated Dischord release that more people should check out if given a chance." - Calvin / Album Of The Year
