The Monsters In My Bed s/t cd
The Monsters in My Bed is the second in a series of concept eps from Philadelphia's Katy Otto (Trophy Wife, Callowhill, Del Cielo). Otto penned lyrics for five songs depicting dangerous, damaging archetypes and farmed them out to long-time friends and co-conspirators she met while running the independent label Exotic Fever Records. These friends then put the words to music. The release features work by Nate Rappole (Gull, Ultra Dolphins), Leigh Sabol (The Assistant, Wrong Day to Quit), Heather McEntire (Bellafea, Mount Moriah), Andy Spiers (The Feverfew, Sleep Station, Morgan Storm) and Tom Schlatter (The Assistant, Capacities). It is the follow up to a similar project Otto released in 2012. The Monsters in My Bed also includes original artwork from Philadelphia visual artist Jeanne D'Angelo.
