SOUND COLUMN's noises dance on a vertical plane where the didjeridus ascend and descend carefully and crystalline shards of bells and cymbals sit frozen in the air. There is a sense of great vastness on these four lengthy tracks, as voids between notes create a spellbinding and stark effect. Kenneth Newby, Eddy Sayer, and Stephen Kent respectfully dedicate this recording to the true spirit of the Aborigines, but the textures they evince represent a more universal conduit.
