From Atlanta, now living in Santa Barbara, CA, Matt Mauldin is an autodidact poet who honed his poetry coming up in Atlanta’s underground rock scene in the ’90s as singer and lyricist of the bands, Car vs Driver & Chocolate Kiss. Hotel Man is his second book of poetry – a picture of life in the late 2010s, informed by terminal illness of a loved one, family struggles, and the state of the world around him. Mauldin’s poems move in impressionistic rhythm and mine dark depths but ultimately illuminate in their humanity. Original artwork by Bob Rob Medina.
