Hexcrusher is the EDM project of Chris Monica (aka Yatagarasu). After a decade of producing distorted, aggressive Nintendo music, Chris shifted focuses and became a professional wrestler. The aggression of Yatagarasu has been sucked into wrestling leaving Hexcrusher with pleading, thoughtful, and catchy post-chiptune. Hexcrusher peddles the same raw waveforms and chirpy video game sounds heard in the chiptune scene, layering them into pop songs that bounce and wash out with tranlucent slime. Slime's Detective celebrates and explores slime in all its forms. This is slime music, garbage music; songs are written using data-entry with a studio setup valued at less than $100. This is no-budget guerilla science using free breakbeats, Castelvania samples and stock digital choir sounds to communicate with extraterrestrials.
