Zano, frequently called Atlanta's best freestyle poet, is known throughout the indie crowd for being able to rhyme for exhaustingly long amounts of time without stepping over his own words. Perhaps out of fear of his talents, he has been banned from Atlanta's famous Mic Club for supposedly "spittin' writtens in a freestyle battle." There was no foul play though…he’s just that good!

A free-stylin’ MC is often easy to stereotype; Zano, however, has never come close to this image and is constantly surprising his audiences. He’s been known to share the stage with a wide range of DJ’s and several rock bands, including The Liverhearts, Shock Cinema, Leb Laze and countless experimental noise bands. Along those same veins, this 7” is a testament to his versatility.

The a-side, Ass Birth, features music produced by one of Atlanta’s premier DJ’s, Chris Devoe. Chris can be seen spinning at a number of clubs through the Atlanta club scene and has built up quite a reputation of his own. With Ass Birth, he put his talents to tape and composed a beat especially for Zano.

The b-side, There’s Apple Fuzz in the Peach of My Eye, features music produced by Mexcellent, an experimental noise group consisting of Brad Hoss (Celephais, Hoss Records) and Kristen Klien (The Alphabets, The Beach). Most of ‘Apple Fuzz’ is freestyle and shares Zano’s thought on the social differences of Atlanta and New York City and the advantages of an artistic career in the two cities.
