The 5th album of the idiosyncratic and highly esteemed indie band Monochrome "Unita" is a brilliant symbiosis of pop, indie & post-hardcore.

Monochrome present themselves in top form with their new, constructive, accessible and exciting work. The album was mastered by Greg Calbi (The National, Bob Dylan, Nada Surf, Talking Heads, John Lennon, MGMT) at Sterling Sound, New York.

Berlin, Stuttgart, Zurich, Basel – a lousy axis for "just like that". Maybe that's why we haven't heard from MONOCHROME for almost five years – they live scattered across this axis. Emerging from the ashes of hardcore legend Dawnbreed, the band created their own world years ago – they tore down border fences. Don't need a pig here. Across all musical and geographical boundaries, MONOCHROME have declared themselves a self-image since 1996. After two U.S. tours and several hundred concerts in Europe: in squats, galleries, clubs, discotheques and horse stables – after numerous singles, EPs, the records LASER (Trans Solar Records, 1999), FERRO (Trans Solar Records, 2003), ÉCLAT (Sticksister Records, 2006), CACHÉ (Stickman Records, 2008) and just five years of silence, UNITÀ is now released on the Cologne-based Unter Schafen label (including Blackmail, Vierkanttretlager, Stars).
