Not Gorgeous – We Are LP

"Bonded together by a shared love for fast punk and hardcore, Not Gorgeous features musicians who have also played in such bands as The Scarlet Letter, Dead Set On Destruction, Hello Romeo!, and The Ghost Armada.

The seeds of Not Gorgeous can be traced back a decade when husband and wife duo of Lauren (drums) and Jason Nagy (guitar) started formulating the project. Bassist Chris Barrett eventually joined the fold, travelling from Maryland to New York City for occasional practices. Things slowed down during the pandemic, but things got cooking again with the addition of vocalist Todd Currier in 2023.

Not Gorgeous began gelling together, playing a few shows in the New York Tri-State area, and in the summer and fall 2024, they headed to Backroom Studios and recorded their debut LP, We Are, with Scot Moriarty.
