"The Plasma Expander trio is a kind of garage band that wants to explore the bursts of energy produced when trying to fuse rock and jazz without paying too much attention to rules and conventions.  Certainly, their fierce Sardinian stubbornness helps them, an important component in supporting this music that smells of seaweed and brackish water in an extraterrestrial environment.

Their sound is full of beautiful energy and dense brushstrokes of dark colors. The compositional structures are basic and effective for this type of project, often characterized by riffs where rhythm reigns supreme, without worrying too much about the melody, which then seems to emerge on the stage during the connecting sections. Music that assaults space with the right fury, as if always playing on the counterattack without ever stopping, not even when the referee whistles for a penalty or offside.

The group has been active for six years and essentially revolves around the guitar playing of Fabio Cerina, which is corrosive and biting enough, the baritone guitar (which essentially functions as the bass) of Marcello Pisanu, and the drumming of Andrea Siddu, always ready to drive the music forward.  There are also several guest musicians who provide timbral variations that enrich a work that deliberately chooses to work with controlled monotony, seeking an effect of timbral accumulation rather than trance or groove in the conventional sense." - All About Jazz
