"Artists who collaborate together, grow and above all create. It happened again and, this time a new project was born that involves two important personalities of the Italian musical environment, of which to be proud, on the one hand the guitarist Xabier Iriondo (Afterhours, Buñuel and Pleiadees) and, on the other the drummer Francesco “Franz” Valente (One Dimensional Man, Il Teatro Degli Orrori, Buñuel and Lume), now engaged in the solo project Snare Drum Exorcism .

"TIERRA / MAREE", is a very special work, a "split" made by two valid artists and whose production was entrusted to the group of record labels composed of Dischi Bervisti by Nicola Manzan (Bologna Violenta), Wallace Records, Dio Drone and True Bypass Promotion. The digital version is available for this work and 300 12 ”vinyls have been produced in a limited edition, of which 250 are black and the other 50 are marbled.

The album "TIERRA / MAREE" is made up of two instrumental suites: the first is titled TIERRA , the other is MAREE . Finally the song MOSAIQUE in which both musicians play. In a span of half an hour the listener's curiosity is piqued by the intensity and diversity of sounds that gradually unwind along the three tracks. The experimentation is palpable. In the first song, lasting about fifteen minutes, the absolute protagonist is the guitarist Xabier Iriondowho plays his Mahai Metak - self-built 10-string chordophone - with which he creates a metalanguage rich in sounds and nuances, you can perceive noise but also silence, moments of lights and shadows. There is a sort of emotional tension and a strong creative potential that derives from the use of this artisan instrument constantly beaten, caressed and wisely manipulated by the artist.

As for the second part, slightly shorter than the previous one, it is the drummer Franz Valente who moves all the threads with his musical project Snare Drum Exorcism ; the intent has always been to combine the wild and direct aspect of the experience of rock, post punk and noise, with the unpredictable and abstract aspect of experimental electroacoustic music. There is power, fluidity and an energetic rhythm resulting from the effective use of snare drums and other atypical tools that are used by the musician in an innovative, unconventional way. The listener, during the passage of the song, can notice more sound carpets that intertwine thus producing new and unexpected timbres. A revolution of sound.

The conclusion of this album is entrusted to the MOSAIQUE track and, in three minutes, it is possible to get closer to both creative minds of this project. Here, too, there is a total experimentation, a mere sharing and above all a clear desire on the part of the duo to surprise the listener." - Impatto Sonoro
