Animals Of Ambivalence s/t CD

Animals of Ambivalence is a 5 song concept EP created by Exotic Fever co-founder Katy Otto with a slew of friends. She penned the lyrics of the five songs in the voice of five exes, speaking to her as the animal they remembered her being in the course of their relationship. Each song is matched with individual illustrations by friends Joey Gates (ex-Faeries) and Vanessa, who play noise music together in Louisiana. Collaborators used Otto's lyrics (she does sing one song, Naked Mole Rat, but the other 4 are sung in a male voice), adding perspective. The artwork was done at Stumptown Printers in Portland, OR for a limited run of 300. Otto invites others to make their own Animals of Ambivalence project as a means of handling and reconceptualizing heartbreak.
