Autodafeh – Identity Unknown CD

"I was a bit skeptic about Autodafeh's last release 'Re:lectro' where I felt it lacked a bit of the pounding push you need to make great EBM, but with this new release called 'Identity Unknown' they manage to create some body music history.

Autodafeh borrows heavily from Front 242 without any shame, but if you are able to see over that and actually pay attention to what the Swedish boys created, it's like you found yourself in some kind of parallel universe where Front 242 skipped the techno rubbish and stuck to what they did great.

After the intro called "Dead Eyes" you should get ready for getting your mind blown away silly by the absolutely amazing track "Divided We Fall". It got the rhythm, the great soundscape created when you mix monotone with a massive width of sounds. The same goes for the eight track "7 Sins" that I gladly listen to over and over again. The best part is that it don't stop there and there's still a lot to discover. Fast and dance floor sweat maker "Meltdown", Nitzer Ebb stinking "Love, Hate and Pain", the slower "Hall of Fame" and finally "Fake" that brings be back to the 1982 release 'Geography'. Talking about Front 242, a pretty cool remix by Daniel Bressanutti of the track "Divided We Fall" finishes of the album." - PATRIK LINDSTRÖM / Brutal Resonance
