Northern New Jersey's Hidden Cabins formed as a collaborative idea, trading demos early in 2012. A few songs turned into an encore set before rehearsals ensued throughout 2013. The duo consists of Craig Cirinelli [also of (Damn) This Desert Air / The World Concave] on vocals / percussion and Brian Hofgesang [also of Books / Bomb Paris] on guitars /effects / vocals. Perfecting their style they are way more than a folk rock act as they turn up the volume and creativity, injecting a healthy dose of gut and grit into their melodic songs. Hidden Cabins recorded their first set of songs at Portrait Recording Studios in March of 2013 and began stamping their name onto stages near and far soon after with consistent shows and touring abroad (Canada, England, USA). Their first release was on Oak Apple Records of Alberta, Canada, as a split CD with eclectic duo, Brother Octopus. Now Weathered raises the stakes and Hidden Cabins will be headed back to the UK for their second tour here this summer, as well as partnered dates in Spain playing for their new promo team over at Desert Pearl Union. Contrastingly, Eyeswan (featuring the ex singer from We re All Broken - Engineer Records, 2006) stems from the rural woods of New Jersey, bringing us a beautiful swirling wall of noise that will impress even the most jaded indie fan. A few line-up changes later, Eyeswan now lays forth their most confident and aware songs, coupled with a recording punch to match (credits including Chris Pennie and Breh Aveni), as captured on this 10 inch record.
