Prats – Pla B CD
At the beginning of 2011, after four albums and almost ten years on stage, MADEE ceased to exist. With them one of the reference groups of independent rock in our country disappeared. But we all suspected that there was too much talent there to never hear from them again. The first to reappear, solo, was Ramón Rodríguez, under the name THE NEW RAEMON, making it clear to us that the members of that band still had a lot to say.
Now it is the turn of PRATS, who with an impeccable first album will confirm that coincidences do not exist.
Equipped with the rhythmic base of MADEE (Lluís Cots on drums and Pep Masiques on bass), and the guitar of MISHIMA Dani Vega; all under the baton of Marc Prats, piano and keyboards by MADEE and THE NEW RAEMON, who, in turn, provides vocals, acoustic guitar and keyboards, have recorded PLA B, their debut album. A poprock album in Catalan, elegant and intimate, that moves through melancholic landscapes without falling into affectation; a sober work that is filled with precious details and contained emotions. The heritage of both MISHIMA and THE NEW RAEMON becomes latent from the first listen, but PRATS claims to be his own voice, with a sonorous discourse that deserves a privileged place within the current Catalan scene.
In Pla B no specific state of mind predominates, but it is a journey in which everything fits, from the dreamy impetuousness that Pla delirant infects, to the romantic exaltation of Bèstia somrient or the tenderness of Petita i Blanca (a stupendous song by Toti Soler that they have reinvented for the occasion).
