Various – Nacido Para Estorbar compilation lp
The Catalan punk-hardcore scene has always been very active and has had numerous bands in their fight to express their rage against the system. The punk, and later hardcore, community in Barcelona has always been especially prolific and committed. BCore started out with the intention of supporting the young punk and hardcore bands of the early nineties, which at that time were mostly circumscribed in the sound of melodic hardcore and, somewhat later, in new sounds such as post-hardcore. Washington DC style. The years have passed and lately we have realized that there is a lot of musical material from the eighties that has almost fallen into oblivion, that has not been reviewed in years, much less published, and that there is a large amount of archaeological work to be done on bands and their recordings that represent the true underground of the eighties punk and hardcore scene. Many of you are already up to date with our latest reissues, which include Subterranean Kids, L'Odi Social, Kangrena, Shit SA or HHH. Reissues of old material and previously unreleased or only previously released material on lousy-sounding cassettes, ultra-limited vinyl compilations, or almost handmade singles.
Featured on this compilation are Frenopaticss, a seminal aggressive punk combo that saw Boliche from Subterranean Kids debut on drums, and from whom three re-mastered songs from their only demo are recovered. Also Attak, the first group strongly influenced by the new trends in extreme punk that came from abroad, such as Discharge or Crass, and of which only these songs recorded live are available, since they never set foot in a studio. Also Kangrena, to whom we have already dedicated a CD, but this time they have the 4 songs from their extremely rare vinyl single. For their part, Common Sense contribute their darkest vision of punk, in a line close to Killing Joke or Flux of Pink Indians, and where their guitarist Pep Val would come from to form Subterranean Kids. And, finally, Neurotic Code, who crossed the borders of the underground to star in a cult film (Screams... to a strong rhythm by J.M. Nunes) and had the help of production from Manolo García and Quimi Portet (then still Los Burros) for record the included single.
